Ammachi (Grandma)
A compilation of videos that were my attempt to capture Ammachi's lovely persona as well as my connection and level of comfort with this beautiful being. Over the years, she grew more comfortable being herself in front of the camera. Her contagious smile, hospitable warmth and cheerful energy give me hope in humanity.
I try to highlight the fulfilling experience of being able to truly be in the moment. Little things like taking a walk or opening a package or listening to music mindfully can make a regular day feel ideal. Ammachi's company feels like therapy, even though we may not talk about all our concerns to each other, just feeling her genuine presence around me is a gift I am grateful to have in my life.
